This offer includes for:
Services of a Kapuwa (celebrant);
Bouquet of seasonal flowers for the bride;
Buttonhole for the groom
Decorated oil lamp;
Breaking of coconut;
Golden thread tied around the fingers;
As part of the blessing seven betel leaves are offered to the Gods with a request that protection is provided to the seven generations that will originate from the marriage.
The couple's fingers are tied together with a gold thread to symbolize the bond and holy water is then poured over the fingers.
After the blessing a coconut is broken as a symbolic gesture to drive away evil spirits.
A brass oil lamp is then lit by the couple to signify a bright new future together.
Optional extras include a personal fireworks display, Kandyan dancers and drummers, a flower arch, a romantic celebratory dinner, flower decorated swing, an elephant, a photographer, chanting of a blessing by six girls singing a Jayamangala Jatha chant and a wedding cake.
